Introduction
MTOBEIYF7 is a self-hosted, full-stack streaming and community platform — part of a 30-year artistic project called Blobdoc. Built entirely from scratch without reliance on third-party frameworks, it serves live users with registered accounts, active forum discussions, and real-time streaming capabilities.
Self-hosted stream. Self-contained platform. Self-determined future.
The Challenge
Build a completely independent platform that combines live streaming, a community forum, real-time chat, and a music player — all self-hosted on personal hardware. No external dependencies for core functionality. No compromises on security. Every line of code intentional.

The Process
The platform was built from the ground up with Node.js and vanilla JavaScript — no frameworks, no shortcuts. HLS adaptive streaming powers the video, WebSockets handle real-time chat, and SQLite manages 18 database tables with proper indexing. A Webamp integration brings a retro music player to life. Security was baked in from day one: rate limiting, IP banning, bcrypt hashing, prepared statements, and content sanitization across roughly 7,000 lines of hand-written code.

The Solution
A living platform that runs on its own terms — self-hosted on a Debian server with Cloudflare integration. Live streaming with viewer counting across platforms, a text-only forum focused on conversation over noise, a WebSocket chat system, and a complete admin panel for moderation and notifications. The design embraces simplicity: content over presentation, function over decoration.
The Outcome
MTOBEIYF7 is live and growing. Real users, real conversations, real streams. An ongoing project that proves a single developer can build and maintain a full platform without the modern dependency chain — staying true to the spirit of the early web while serving a real community.
